Mom Mom's Squash and Onions

2 tablespoons virgin olive oil
onions, cut into 1/4" slices
zucchini, cut in half lengthwise, then cut into 1/4" slices
yellow squash, cut in half lengthwise, then cut into 1/4" slices
1/2 teaspoon Granulated Garlic
1/4 cup of Organic Sugar
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
1/4 teaspoon Sweet basil (optional)
Heat oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat.  Cook onions for about 5 minutes, until translucent. Add the yellow squash and zucchini, and cook for about 5 minutes, stir occasionally. Add the garlic, sugar, sea salt, pepper and basil.  Cook for 5 minutes, or until the liquid has reduced by half.
